FINISHED WORKFLOW · 03 OF 4

Team challenges.
Goals the team can see.

The problem: Goals lived in a manager’s head, so accountability meant reminders and the same three people got all the credit. What it does: Teams watch their own standings; managers get a nudge about who needs help, not a list to shame people with.

Built in my previous retail management role and used by the team every day. This page recreates it with invented data; it isn’t a FlarePaths client project.

HOW THE WORKFLOW RUNS

From the first number
to the person who acts on it.

  1. Monday

    Set the challenge

Pick the goal, the teams and how points count. Takes five minutes.

  2. Each shift

    Count it once

Leads enter each team’s number in about thirty seconds.

  3. Live

    Standings update

The floor screen shows totals, today’s best and streaks.

  4. End of day

    Coach, don’t shame

Managers get one highlight to celebrate and one team to help.

  5. Friday

    Recognize and reset

The podium gets recognized and the next challenge starts clean.

CelebrateTeam Cotton had the best day: 9 sign-ups, a 3-day streak.

HelpCheck in with Team Prairie: under target 3 days running. Pair them with Team Cotton’s lead for an hour, not a lecture.

In a real project, the numbers come straight from your systems and the screens fit your names, your items and the way your team works. This copy shows the thinking.

WHAT CHANGED

Before and after.

Before

  • Goals announced once, then forgotten
  • Tracking by hand on a whiteboard
  • Recognition for the same few people
  • Struggling teams noticed too late

After

  • Standings everyone can see
  • Thirty seconds a shift to keep it current
  • Streaks and best-day highlights spread the credit
  • A nudge to help a team after two slow days
